Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how AniStreams ("we", "us", "our") processes personal data when you use the AniStreams channel on Roku devices and this website. We act as the data controller for the processing described below.
1. Data We Process
- Account data — credentials and identifiers used to sign in and authenticate your access.
- Preference data — favorites, watchlist selections, subtitle/language settings, and resume positions, stored to personalize the service.
- Technical data — device model, Roku OS/app version, and diagnostic information needed to operate and troubleshoot the channel.
- Purchase status — whether you hold an active subscription, confirmed through Roku Pay. We never see or store your payment card details.
2. Purposes & Legal Bases (GDPR Art. 6)
- Performance of a contract — delivering the channel, catalog, search, playback, and subscription features you request.
- Legitimate interests — service security, error diagnostics, and product improvement.
- Legal obligations — records required for tax or regulatory compliance related to purchases.
- Consent — where required, for optional features; consent can be withdrawn at any time.
3. Payment Processing (Roku Pay)
All purchases are processed by Roku, Inc. through Roku Pay under your Roku account. Your use of Roku Pay is governed by Roku's terms and privacy policy at roku.com/legal. We receive only a subscription entitlement status — never card numbers or billing addresses.
4. Sharing & Processors
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with service providers acting as processors under data-processing agreements, and only as needed to host, deliver, and support the service (e.g., cloud hosting, content delivery, metadata providers). Where transfers outside the EEA/UK occur, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Retention
Personal data is retained only as long as needed for the purposes above: account and preference data for the life of your account; diagnostic data typically under 12 months; purchase records as required by law. Data is deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR and the CCPA), you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Restrict or object to processing, and to data portability.
- Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing).
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any right, contact Supportteam876@proton.me. We respond within 30 days.
7. Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transport for all API and account traffic.
9. Changes
Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use after posting constitutes acknowledgment.
